Ferrassieres sortie visiter vaucluse village

1h15 from Villa Sainte Anne

Ferrassieres is a pretty little village with a population of around 200, whose main activity is lavender production.

In Ferrassieres, the immense purple fields of lavender are a dream for photographers and those who love Instagrammable landscapes.

Visitors are asked to respect the lavender fields, as they are the main source of income for the locals in Ferrassieres. A short 3.5km or 5km loop is available from the village.

Almond trees, lavender and bories (dry-stone shepherd’s huts) adorn the landscape, offering exceptional views of Mont Ventoux and the Plateau d’Albion.

The lavender season begins in July and ends in mid-August. A lavender festival is held every year on the 1st Sunday in July in Ferrassières and on August 15 in Sault.
